Notes: This target CD is the subject of much controversy. Tomato was not a WEA-affiliated label in 1986.
There is some evidence that Tomato was distributed by Elektra in some territories.
Still, it is extremely odd that a 1986 CD was made in the USA with the target design, and
manufactured by Shape Optimedia, which didn't manufacture any other target discs as far as is known.
However, I have no reason to believe this is a hoax or a fake. It appears to be legitimate and
all the manufacturing marks are correct for a circa 1986 Shape disc.
It sure is a lovely disc, isn't it!
There exist two variations with a green disc instead of reddish-orange. I have seen photos
of both but I don't have any other information or photos to share at this time.
This target CD is very rare. A big thanks to Kym for the pretty scans.
