Matrix number: 7559 75011-2 2895 243 01 #
Known suffixes: CD
This variation is scarce, but common enough to rule out the possibility of a one-off error.
This same "error" appears on other Elektra target discs as well. It appears the manufacturer
ran out of squiggles for a while!

Front cover of the four-page booklet
Page three states "Manufactured by PolyGram in Hanover, West Germany
Printed in West Germany"
Alternate front cover "Printed in U.S.A." (on page three) with catalog number at top.
It is quite small, and you could easily miss it if you are not paying attention, so...
... here is a detail of the top corner of the alternate cover which has the catalog number.
Usually, a US non-target pressing will be found with this cover, but sometimes you can get lucky!
Rear tray insert "Printed in West Germany" with no barcode.
"75011-2" is printed on the reverse.
The common POLYGRAM disc with squiggle and the sqiggle-free disc are both found with this rear tray card.
Rear tray insert "Printed in U.S.A." with no barcode.
Nothing is printed on the reverse. The accompanying booklet, in this instance, states "Printed in U.S.A." on page three.
The common POLYGRAM and the POLYGRAM/PDO discs are found with this rear tray card.

DCC Compact Classics GZS-1034 (24K Gold Disc)
Made in Japan" at 6 o'clock.
Matrix number: GZS-1034 $P-1RA (Superior Disk Corp.)
Mastered for Gold Disc by "24 Karat Gold engineering director" Steve Hoffman.
Released in 1993 and sounds amazing! 1993 might be a tad late for an "early CD pressing"
but it was pressed overseas for domestic release so it qualifies in my book.
At the time, there were no domestic pressing plants that could handle Gold discs.
Yes, that is a big crack in the plastic center of the disc! Somebody (not me!) didn't
close the lift-lock case correctly. Still plays great!
The front cover of the insert is very different from the regular CD release.
It is modeled after the original die-cut vinyl LP release, and has a clear acetate window
with the band photo printed in black. A yellow paper insert sits behind the window.
Rear tray insert "Printed in U.S.A." with barcode.
It also states "Disc manufactured in Japan"
The reverse is solid black.
