Known suffixes: DV
Later copies can be found with MADE IN W. GERMANY BY PDO HANOVER (b) or
MADE IN W. GERMANY BY PDO (larger letters) (c) etched around the center hole.

MADE IN WEST | | GERMANY on the front and MADE IN W. GERMANY BY PDO
etched around the center hole, on the reverse (d).
This variation may have been distributed only in Europe.

Front cover of the twelve-page booklet.
Booklets paired with the USA rear inlay state "Printed in U.S.A." on page eleven.

Rear tray insert "Printed in West Germany" without barcode.
I have found the POLYGRAM variation without the PDO inscription with this tray inlay.

Rear tray insert "Printed in U.S.A." without barcode.
Nothing is printed on the reverse.
Usually US non-target discs will be found with this tray inlay, but sometimes
a target will be inside. I have found both POLYGRAM variations of the target CD with
this back inlay.

Rear tray insert "Manufactured in Germany by Record Service GmbH. Alsdorf" without barcode.
The bottom disc variation above will be found with this European inlay.
Thanks to Uli for the scans.

This exact same disc (with West German inserts) was issued in Japan with a
sticker obi, as pictured above. The Japanese catalog number, 32XP-154, appears
only on the obi and the fold-out Japanese-language insert.

Notes: This disc is not terribly scarce, but it is in very high demand.

Jewel case info: (POLYGRAM, USA inserts) heavy ridged-top six-tab two-dimple case with "S5A" embossed
on one tab and on the back portion, inside bottom center. Eight-prong disc tray embossed "Patents pending 13"

OTHER INTERESTING EARLY CD PRESSINGS OF THIS TITLE:

MADE IN WEST GERMANY on the front and MADE IN W. GERMANY BY PDO
etched around the center hole, on the reverse.
Matrix number: 7567 19130-2 2895 383 01 * (same as the target)

Note the catalog number: A2-19130. The "A2" means this is a Columbia House
record club pressing, circa 1987.

Rear tray insert "Printed in U.S.A." without barcode.
States "Manufactured by Columbia House under license."
Nothing is printed on the reverse.
Usually US club pressings will be found with this tray inlay, but sometimes
you might find this West German pressing.
The accompanying booklet states "Printed in U.S.A." on page eleven,
and carries the club catalog number on the back page.

MADE IN U.S.A. BY WEA MANUFACTURING INC. (with outer mirror band).
Matrix number: 19150-2 SRC-01
This is known by collectors as a first generation (Gen1) WEA/SRC pressing.
These were produced between late 1986 and mid-1987.
I also have a Gen0 pressing of this title, and as soon as I dig it out of its hidey-hole,
I'll show it to you.
The rear tray insert for this one is the same as the stock USA example above,
in the target section.
