MADE IN WEST || GERMANY on disc front.
MADE IN W. GERMANY BY PDO is etched around the center on this variation.
These are the only three disc variations that I am aware of.
Front cover of the eight-page booklet, darker in color than the European issue.
Early booklets state "Manufactured by PolyGram in Hanover,
Printed in West Germany" on page seven.
Later booklets paired with U.S.A. tray inserts read "Printed in U.S.A." on page seven.
Rear tray insert "Printed in West Germany" without barcode.
"3383-2 (256 789)" is printed on the reverse.
Most target discs will be found with this back inlay.
Rear tray insert, "Printed in U.S.A." with no barcode.
Occasionally, you can find a target pressing in this USA back inlay, but more often
than not, you will find an early US (or sometimes a Japanese) non-target pressing.
There is nothing printed on the reverse.
Notes: This disc is fairly easy to find.
Jewel case info: Later issues (U.S.A. inserts) smooth frosted two long stopper bars, "Patent pending D-4"
is embossed on the back and "D-4" is embossed on one tab. Eight-prong disc tray embossed "Patents pending 193"
(WG inserts) smooth frosted-top two-dimple case with nothing embossed on the back.
"11" is embossed on one tab and "42" is embossed on the back portion, inside bottom center.
Eight-prong disc tray embossed "Patents pending 16"
